The 2017 Queensland Athletics Championships are being held at QSAC Stadium, Nathan, from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th February. 

The 4-day event will include the Junior and Open aged State Championships for able-bodied and para-athletes.

CHECK-IN
All athletes MUST CHECK-IN NO LATER THAN 60 MINUTES PRIOR to the scheduled start time of their event/s each day they are competing (90 min for Pole Vault). Athletes must sign to confirm their entries and are encouraged to confirm for all events in which they are competing that day. Check-in will be located in the function room behind the terrace near the 100m start line.

ATHLETES WILL BE WITHDRAWN FROM THEIR EVENTS IF THEY ARRIVE LATE FOR CHECK-IN. Athletes may only be reinstated into their events at the sole discretion of the Competition Director.

Athletes are expected to present their 2016-17 competition bib numbers when checking-in. If unable to do so, new numbers must be purchased for $5.00 (cash only).
 

BIB NUMBERS
Athletes MUST wear their current 2015-2016 QA or ANQ bib numbers on the front and back of their competition top (one number required for HJ/PV). Athletes will not be allowed to compete unless correct bib numbers are worn. Temporary numbers are not accepted. Interstate/International athletes will be issued with QA bib numbers for the Championships. Replacement numbers issued to athletes will incur a $5 fee (cash only).

QA members who have not yet received their bib numbers for the season may collect these at check-in.
 

GATE ADMISSION FEES
Gate admission will be charged for the duration of the Championships.

HOW TO ENTER
Entries closed at midnight on Monday 13 February.

Late entries will be subject to availability and approval by the QA Competition Manager. If accepted, late entries will incur a late entry fee of $10.00 per event in addition to the entry fees listed below. Please contact us on 07 3343 0900 to enquire about a late entry.

QUALIFYING PERFORMANCES
This year qualifying performances have been introduced as a requirement to compete at the Queensland Championships. These performances have not been set to discourage athletes, but rather as an indicator to show athletes they have what it takes to compete. 
Female Performances Male Performances
Performances will be accepted from any QA, ANQ, school or Little A's meet held since 1 January 2016 and can be hand-timed under any wind conditions. Para-athletes are not required to meet any qualifying performances. If you have any questions or concerns about the qualifying performances please don't hesitate to contact us.

 
AGE GROUPS & ELIGIBILITY

All currently registered Queensland (QA/ANQ), interstate and international athletes are invited to participate. Para-athletes must have at least a current Provisional Level Classification. The minimum age to participate is 12 years (athletes born in 2005).
 
Able-bodied: Under 14, Under 15, Under 16, Under 17, Under 18, Under 20, Open
Para-athletes: Under 14, Under 16, Under 18, Under 20, Open
 
Age is calculated as at 31 December 2017.
Example - If an athlete is turning 14 years old in 2017, they will be in the Under 15 age group.
 
Athletes may enter events in multiple age groups as long as they comply with these regulations:
  - Athletes may only enter each event in a maximum of two age groups.
  - No athlete may enter the same event in both the U15 and U16 age groups.
  - No athlete may enter the same event in both the U17 and U18 age groups.
