CLUB POINT SCORE

Performances by club members will contribute to the Queensland Cross Country Cup point score competition.

Athletes registered with a Queensland Athletics club or Little Athletics Queensland centre will earn points for their club based on the place they achieve in the designated point scoring race for their age group at each meet.

Athletes who are not club members are still eligible to compete and receive a result, but will not score any club points.

Points will be allocated in each age group as listed below.

Athlete Place Points
1st 10
2nd 8
3rd 6
4th 5
5th 4
6th 3
7th 2
8th + 1

Where multiple age groups compete together at the same time, athletes will only score points in the age group they specifically entered.

After each meet, points earned by club athletes will be tallied for each club to determine the overall club places for the meet. Clubs will then receive points for the place they achieved at the meet which will be collated into a leader board for the season.

Meet placing conversion to leader board points:

Club Place Points
1st 10
2nd 8
3rd 6
4th 5
5th 4
6th 3
7th 2
8th 1

At the conclusion of the season, the club with the highest points on the leader board will be declared the champion club and will be presented with the 2014 Queensland Cross Country Cup.
