HALF MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022

Note: All athletes must meet the necessary qualification standard to be selected for this championship
All state and territory member associations are invited to send up to six (6) male and six (6) female athletes to contest the 2022 Half Marathon Championship. The top three athletes from each gender will accumulate points towards a team score, as well as competing for the half marathon championship title.
Eligibility
The 2023 Australian Half Marathon Championships is open to all athletes who are registered with an Athletics Australia-affiliated club and meet the Athletics Australia rules for National competition.
The first three eligible men and women to finish the Half Marathon will be presented with Australian Championship medals. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will also be presented in the men’s and women’s teams’ competition.
Each Member Association can select up to six male and six female representatives with the top three finishers in each team scoring points towards their state team result.
NB: All athletes must meet the necessary qualification standard to be selected for this Championship.

Assistance Packages
The following assistance packages will be available.
- Free race entry to all nominated Member Association selected team members (all 6 athletes) - Use of the Elite Athlete facilities on race day (all 6 athletes)
- An elite start at the front of the field (all 6 athletes)
- One night's twin share accommodation (top 3 ranked athletes)
- Ground transport to the start line (if applicable - top 3 ranked athletes)
- Facility access into/out of Event venue for the athlete briefing (all 6 athletes)
Athletics Australia strongly encourages athletes to wear their State or Territory uniform when competing and for presentation ceremonies.
