Athletics Australia has announced Sydney as the host venue for the 2022 Australian Track & Field Championships, taking place from 26th of March - 3rd of April 2022.
Registrations are now open and close at 9am the Monday following Queensland State Championships. To simplify processes Queensland Athletics will move away from the previous two stage process of Nominating and Registering and use a one stage Registration process from then registrations will be approved.
You can only complete the team registration once. Please wait if you believe you might qualify in another event for Nationals as you can't add extra events once the form is completed.
NB: Registering for Nationals without meeting qualification standards will result in a NON-REFUNDABLE AA Entry Fee ($35) as well as $30 Administration/Transaction fees. If you are unsure about these critical notes please call Qld Athletics on 07 2111 5135 or email email@example.com
The team levy for Junior athletes (U14-U20) will be $150 plus the AA event entry fee of $35 per event. Junior & Open Base members are required to upgrade to a Gold member and join a club.
Uniforms are all ordered online. Once athletes have completed their registration form they'll be send a uniform link. Please order at least 2 weeks prior to the commencement of Nationals to allow time for shipping.
Queensland Athletics will not be offering accommodation packages in 2022.
Should the current capacity permitted for NSW (and therefore SOPAC) be reduced, the following may be implemented, pending the level of restriction imposed and associated risks:
• Spectator restrictions
• Timetable changes across sessions and if absolutely necessary, days
• Events relocated to a secondary venue
• Tightening of qualification standards
• Postponement or cancellation of Championships
All attendees over the age of 16 must be fully vaccinated.
Therefore, it is imperative that all attendees (athletes, families, coaches and officials) are strongly encouraged to only book refundable travel.
