This meet holds a World Athletics and Athletics Australia permit, so athletes can qualify for international and national competition, accumulate World Athletics ranking points, break Qld Athletics and Athletics Australia records, and have their performances added to World Ahletics top lists.

Weights & Implements Specifications - only 2 personal implements (per event) can be checked in
Under 11/Under 12/Under 13 athletes in eligible field events will compete using Under 14 specifications. Hammer/Javelin/Pole Vault/Hurdles/Steeplechase/3000m/5000m/10000m will not be available for athletes under 12 years of age.
Shield Meets - Implement check in cut-off is 90 minutes before your event start time.
Championships – Implement check in cut-off is 2 hours before your event start time.
Seeding:
- A Grade field events will be capped at 10, with priority given to U20 and Open athletes (as per new World Athletics guidelines) and will receive 4 attempts only.
- B Grade field events will receive 4 attempts only.
- Para athletes will need to meet 95% of the relevant international qualifying standard to be placed into the A Grade and to make the top 8 (to be determined once qualifiers are released by Athletics Australia).
- Placement into A Grade/B Grade is based on performance only, not age group (Open/Under 20 athletes are not guaranteed a place in A Grade).
We support the wearing of your club uniform, however we do not enforce it.
We do not use bibs; however if you are from another state or region, you may certainly wear yours!

Townsville North Star Athletics club partnered with SUBWAY North Ward togethor offer these low-cost, fun-filled meets to all athletes 9 years (DOB 2014) through to Masters.
These meets are designed for *everyone, 2022 registered club members and non-club members alike, so ALL VISITORS ARE WELCOME !
** All Non-club member athletes must register as a Townsville North Star base member first (once off $26 fee) before registering at any of our Sunset Series Meets.

- All current members of Qld Athletics and Qrun are eligible to enter the QMA Champoinships.
- Entries close Sunday 12th February

The timetable and entries will be adjusted to include the appropriate events within the next week.
Those who have entered in the Under 14’s age group, but born in 2011, will be moved to the correct age group.
